Marjorie Lee Van Zee was born December 26, 1922, to James and Josephine (Brand) Veenman, in Pella, Iowa. She passed away December 31, 2016, at the Comfort House in Pella.

Marge attended Pella Community Schools and Central College in Pella. On June 29, 1951, Marge married Elmer "Van" Van Zee at Second Reformed Church in Pella. To this union two daughters were born: Pamela Sue and Janice Lee. Marge and Van lived all their married life in Pella. In 1963, they purchased Mode Huis which they managed together until February of 1985, when they retired. In her spare time, Marge enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters and their husbands: Pamm and Johnny Menninga; and Jann and Michael Goodyk all of Pella; her five grandchildren and their families: Chris and JoAnna Menninga and their children Ren, Lincoln, Christian and Arie; Jamie and Lindsey Menninga and their children Kinley and Kellan; Brandon and Darcy Goodyk and their children Dana, Nora, Beckett and Truett; Bryan and Katie Goodyk and their children Kolten and Paxton; and Holly and Reuben Schiebout and their children Mara, Asher, Meres, and Titus.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, her parents James and Josephine, her sisters Jean Nelson, and Jayne Van Gorp, and a brother in infancy.

Marge will be greatly missed by her family, who dearly loved her.
