IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Max
Wagaman
December 29, 1953 – March 8, 2025
Max Eugene Wagaman was born December 29, 1953, to David Wayne and Laurel Mae (Yowell) Wagaman, in Prairie City, Iowa.
Max attended the Prairie City grade school and graduated from high school with the class of 1972. On June 14, 1975, he was united in marriage to Peggy Savage at the Colfax Interfaith Center. Found in his devotions: "Peggy is of the highest value to me in all ways and a gift from you, Lord!"
Max started his career working for his dad's feed mill in Prairie City, was a brick layer for a couple years, then for Vermeer Manufacturing for 46 years. Most recently, Max was the pastor for Prairie City Christian Church.
Max was known for his love for his Savior, truly living a life that put Christ first. It was shown with constant positivity. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son/son-in-law, and brother, he loved hard on his family. Max never knew a stranger, and would drop everything to help anyone. Max was branded with Chevy/Dodge, Harley, cowboy boots and guitars. He loved his church family and preaching to them. Max would study his Bible day and night; he loved writing his devotional series titled, "Just a Thought." He also wrote a song for each grandchild when they were born.
Philippians 1:21 - He went into this procedure truly living this verse. For him to live was Christ, to die was gain. It is gain!
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Peggy and their family:
