Naomi Lynn Braafhart was born on September 12, 2016, to Joey Alan and Jenny Lynn (Howell) Braafhart at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Naomi was born at 3 lbs. 1 oz. 13 A½ inches long, with lots of pretty dark hair. Naomi lived for one hour and 22 minutes. Naomi was greeted by her sisters: Riley (9), Brianna (6), Bronwyn (3), and Penelope (1).

Naomi is survived by her parents, four sisters, grandparents: Jolene Vaux and Terry of Texas, Joel and Deb Braafhart of Pella, and Larry and Lisa Dykstra of Mitchellville, Iowa; great grandparents: Deanna Howell, Neola Kooyman, and Kate Braafhart; aunts and uncles: Maurene West, Sandy Wagner, Beth Howell, Nick and Libby Braafhart, Jennifer and Chris Williams Jonathan and Andi Dykstra, Elizabeth and Mark Van Klompenburg, Maribeth Dykstra, Andrew Dykstra, Kathryn and Robert Mosher, Chris and Jen Dykstra, and many cousins.

Naomi was preceded in death by her grandfather Tim Howell.

The family would like to thank everyone for your prayers and your support. On September 12, those prayers came to fruition as we got to hold our precious Naomi as a family. We were able to rejoice in her birth and continue to rejoice that she is made whole in the arms of Jesus.
