Oliver Simon Neary, son of Shannon and Eliza (Franzen) Neary, was born on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at the Pella Regional Health Center. Oliver was called to Heaven shortly before his family got a chance to meet him.

Oliver will be greatly missed by his big brothers, who he looked a lot like, minus their red hair. Patrick wanted to call him "Jack," and Liam really wanted a baby sister, but they both agreed that they'd like a baby instead of an angel.

Surviving Oliver are his parents, Shannon and Eliza Neary of Pella, Iowa; his brothers, Patrick and Liam; maternal grandparents, Susie and Tony Tjaden of Arlington, Iowa and the late Don Franzen; paternal grandparents Bill Neary of Blair, Nebraska and Nancy and Tim Cox of Logan, Iowa ; maternal aunts and uncles, Adam and Karen Franzen of Jesup, Iowa and their children  Nora and Alice, Luke Franzen of Chicago, Illinois, and Samuel Franzen of Decorah, Iowa; paternal aunt and uncles, Melissa and Matt Brady of Russellville, Arkansas and their children Mason and Madison, Adam Bellis of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Bryce Moore of Logan Iowa; maternal step-great-grandmother, Ruth Tjaden of Clarksville, Iowa; paternal great-grandmother, Jennie Gallentine of Modale, Iowa; and paternal step-great-grandparents, Tom and Ardith Cox of Pisgah, Iowa.
