Obituary

Born in Adrian, Michigan on May 9, 1933, to John W. Koehn and Ferne M. Beebe.   Attended Adrian Public Schools.  Received a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan.  Received a Ph. D in Higher Education from the University of Toledo.  On the morning of February 11, 1956, he graduated with the BS in Chemical Engineering, at noon he was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy and in the evening he was united in marriage with Frances McAdam.  Born of this union were four children: Mark Philip, Karen Frances, Kurtis Edward, and Peter Martin.

He served as a LtJG in the U.S. Navy.  Following graduate school he taught Physics at Adrian College, Adrian Michigan.  In 1970 the family moved to Orange City, Iowa where he was the chairman of the Education Department at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.  In 1978 he began working for 24 years in the Data Processing Department at Vermeer's Manufacturing.  He was a member of Third Reformed Church in Pella.  For many years Paul was involved with the Pella Tennis Association and was on the board of the Indian Lakes Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ferne Koehn, a brother, John W. Koehn, and his son, Mark Philip Koehn.

He is survived by his wife, Frances, and his three children, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one expected great grandchild in May of this year.
