Paulette West died to this life on July 11, 2021, at the age of 71.  Born on February 17, 1950, she was the daughter of Paul and Luwilda (Rosedale) Parker and grew up on the family farm near Newburg, Iowa.  She attended school at Newburg, and graduated from high school in Grinnell, Iowa.  After graduation she married Cloyce West.  Paulette and Cloyce lived together in North Dakota, Wyoming, and Florida before moving back to Iowa, living in Des Moines and then Pella.  They had two daughters, Linda Pascale and Tracy Taylor (Jeff), and grandchildren, Jessica, Tazewell, Amanda, and Daniel.

Paulette worked for the Polk County Driver's License Bureau, Sears, WalMart, and Theisen's in her work life.  She was an award-winning puppeteer, and she also enjoyed singing solos for church, and restoring antique furniture. She was witty, bringing humor to every situation. Paulette met Toni Boertje in 2009, and the two became like family.

Paulette was preceded in death by her husband Cloyce, her parents Paul and Luwilda Parker, her daughter Linda, and her sister Patty.

Paulette is survived by her daughter Tracy, brother Jim (Marcia), and sister Betty (Ron), her grandchildren, and many friends.
