Obituary

Pearl Adrianna Bogaards was born August 9, 1936, to Andrew and Henrietta (Menninga) Bogaards in Otley, Iowa. She attended Pleasant Ridge Grade School near Oskaloosa and earned her high school diploma from American School of Chicago.

On March 28, 1958, she was united in marriage to John Lee Van Waardhuizen in Pella. They were blessed with four children: Keith James,  Alan Jay, Andrea Lynn, Jana Lea. Pearl worked as a typist for Rolscreen, and later in food service for Hilltop Manor before retiring in 2015. John passed away in 1973, when they were farming by Leighton. In her spare time, Pearl made lots of quilts, and Dutch letters for Farmers Market and shipped them all over! Pearl was a devoted member of Second Christian Reformed Church. An important part of Pearl's life was praying for her children and grandchildren.
