Randal Scot Gabrielson was born August 31, 1960, to Gary and Charlotte (Raber) Gabrielson, in Belmond, Iowa.
Randy was a 1978 graduate of Belmond High School, and earned a Master of Science & Manufacturing from General Motors Institute in 1996.
On September 4, 1982, he was united in marriage to Tracy Hadley in Rowan, Iowa. To this union they were blessed with two children: Alex and Alyssa.
Randy worked for Pella Corporation as a Business Analyst for 20 years, before retiring in May 2024. Previously, he worked for Bearing Point as a consultant where he had the opportunity to travel the world. He also worked for Eaton Corporation while continuing his education getting both his bachelor's from Buena Vista and master's from GMI. Randy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Belmond for more than 40 years, and the Federated Fellowship Church in Pella.
Randy loved being on the boat with his family and friends and bowling. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Iowa State Cyclones fan no matter how difficult that could be at times. He was known for his sarcastic nature and infectious laugh.
Randy was diagnosed with ALS in September of 2023. He may have lost his battle with this horrible disease, but won the war and is now at peace with his heavenly father.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Tracy, and their family: Alex and Aidan Gabrielson, of Attica, and Alyssa Gabrielson of Pella, parents Gary and Charlotte Gabrielson, and siblings: Rodney (Dawn) Gabrielson, Roxann (Mike) Crabb, and Rozlyn (Andy) Wirtz.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents-in-law Loran and Marladean Hadley, and brother-in-law LaVerne (Mary) Hadley.
