Randall Gene Waddle was born on July 12, 1961, in Newton, Iowa, to Robert and Margo (Denton) Waddle. His family moved to his great-grandparent's (James and Emma Waddle) farm near Monroe in 1967, when Randy was six years old. Randy attended Monroe schools until finishing his required credits in January 1979. He graduated with his class in May of 1979.

Randy worked at DeHaai Manufacturing during his teenage years. He also worked with his dad and mom on the family farm raising hogs, cattle and crops. In the spring of 1984,  Randy began farming on his grandfather's farm. That same year on July 14, 1984, he and Tammy (Glardon) were united in marriage.  They were blessed with five children: Joshua, Alisha, Ashlee, J.J. and Jesse. Randy continued farming as well as working for Pella Corporation.  He worked for Pella Corporation for twenty-nine and a half years before retiring in December 2021.

Randy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour as a young boy. He was in fellowship with those gathered to the name of the Lord Jesus in Pella, Iowa.

Randy is survived by his wife, Tammy; his son Joshua; daughter and son-in-law  Alisha and Joe Sutherland; daughter Ashlee; son and daughter-in-law J.J. and Hannah (Grinton) Waddle and son Jesse; and his grandchildren Silas, Allie and Emma Rose.  Randy is also survived by his mother Margo Waddle and siblings Rick (Stephanie) Waddle and Sue (Howard) Potter;  mother-in-law Barbara Glardon; brothers-in-law Kevin Glardon and Randy (Savie) Glardon, aunts and uncles: Judy (Ed) Cowman, Nancy Renaud, Arlyne Glardon, Marty (Ken) Quenzer and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
