Rhonda Kay Chiles was born on July 30, 1962, to Dale and Marthalea Finestead. The youngest and only daughter, she was well loved and maybe a little spoiled. She grew up roaming on the family farm, passing the time by riding horses, playing music, and getting into small-town mischief.

Rhonda graduated from Woodward-Granger High School in 1980 and later attended cosmetology school. Eventually, Rhonda went to work at Plaza State Bank in Urbandale where she met David Chiles. They were married in 1989 in Granger, Iowa. In 1992, they moved to Pella where she began her 30-year career as a real estate appraiser. During their time in Pella, they were blessed with two children, Nolan and Abby, who were Rhonda's whole world.

Rhonda's many friends would describe her as lively, loyal, and eager for any and all escapades. She enjoyed attending the kids' activities, golfing, playing cards, music, parties, and dancing.

She is survived by partner David Chiles of Pella; son Nolan (Sarah) of Davenport, IA; daughter Abigail (Andrew) of Tulsa, OK; father Dale Finestead; brothers Mark (Cheri) Finestead and Mike (Pam) all of Granger, IA; and many other loved ones.

Rhonda is preceded in death by mother Marthalea ("Marty") Finestead and brother Dan (Di) Finestead.

The memorial service will be held at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1910 Locust St., Granger, IA at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 13th. There will be a light lunch served after the service. A celebration of life will be held at the Pella Golf and Country Club, 600 Elm St., Pella, IA at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14th.

We invite anyone who knew her to attend either ceremony and remember her wonderful life.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of her beloved mother Marty, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation in Rhonda's name.
