Robert D. Taylor was born on June 25, 1939, to Alfred and Florence (Van Ekeren) Taylor.  He was educated in the Pella Community Schools.  On July 27, 1958, he was united in marriage with Marilyn Christophel. To this union, three children were born: Rick, Brenda, and Jeff.  Bob lived in the Pella area his entire life.

At the age of eleven, Bob began work as a farm hand  for  Paul Ter Louw. He was then employed at Roth Associates, next at Pella Rolscreen for ten years, and then at Vermeer for forty years, ending as an engineer technician.

Bob enjoyed wood carving and tinkering in his shop. He believed in working hard. Bob was kind, honest, and giving, serving in quiet, humble ways.

He is also survived by his sister Sandy (John) Minter and by his brother Jack (Pam) Taylor.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Beverly Anthony, and his brother Jerry Taylor.
