IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roberta
Kerger
September 3, 1941 – August 30, 2017
Roberta Coleen Kerger was born September 3, 1941, to Martin and Artie (Hols) Stouwie in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She passed away August 30, 2017, surrounded by her family in Pella.
Roberta grew up in Oskaloosa and attended Webster Elementary and was a 1959 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. She met Kenneth Kerger at a dance in 1964, and they were married in February 1966, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Roberta was a bookkeeper at Schiebout Tire for many years. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She bowled on Tuesday nights, and loved cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Roberta gave all her kids and grandkids a Hallmark Christmas ornament every year - she never missed one! She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and niece and nephews participate in sporting and school events.
Roberta is survived by her husband Ken, her children and grandchildren: Kristina (Eric) Sandbothe of Council Bluffs, Iowa, their children: Tyler Kerger, Noah, Aiden, and Aubrey Sandbothe; and Martin (Bridgit) Kerger of Charlotte, North Carolina, and their children: Niclas and Jena. She is also survived by her sister Sharon (Lee) Booth of Grayslake, Illinois, and her sisters-in-law Donna Stouwie of Cedar Rapids, Phyllis Cassidy of New York City, and Connie Ross of Gallion, Ohio.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her son Kurtis, and her brother Glen Stouwie.
