Ronald Eugene Menninga was born on September 12, 1949, in Pella, Iowa, to Andrew and Patricia (Slycord) Menninga.

He went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House at the age of sixty-three.

Ron received his education in the Pella area schools and graduated from Pella Community High School. He was then employed at Pella Corporation for nearly thirty-seven years. He retired in 2006 and was rehired a month later to work for them part-time. He also enjoyed working in construction for his brother-in-law, Ken De Boef, when he wasn't working for Pella Corporation.

On March 10, 1972, Ron was united in marriage with Pearl De Boef. To this union two sons were born: Chris and Tim.

Ron was a faithful member of the Faith Christian Reformed Church where he had served as a deacon. He also enjoyed working with Habitat for Humanity.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of few words but loved to have a good time with his kids, grandkids and friends. He loved races and hunting. He and Pearl also enjoyed traveling and camping with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Pearl; their children: Chris Menninga and his fiancAC. Amanda O'Gorman and Tim and Misty Menninga; two grandchildren, Tyler Andrew Menninga, and Tommi Marie Menninga; step-mother, Harriet Menninga, and his sister, Lenora (Will) Shepherd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Menninga and Patricia Menninga and two brothers, Lonnie Menninga and James Menninga.
