Warren Scott Elliott was born on December 4, 1959, in Lynch, Kentucky, to Edward Milton and Mary Jane Meyers Elliott. Scott went to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 5, 2012, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of fifty-two.
Scott graduated from Lynch High School in Lynch, Kentucky, and then attended and graduated from the University of Kentucky.
On July 31, 1981, he was united in marriage with Karen Bailey in Dione, Kentucky. They were blessed with two sons: Tyler and Corey.
Scott started his employment with General Electric and later with United Parcel Service both in Louisville, Kentucky. The family then moved to Pella where he was employed at Pella Corporation. Currently he was working at Paladin in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He enjoyed golf, cooking, spending time with his wife and sons, coaching Corey's AAU basketball team, and visiting with friends at the Country Club. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats Fan.
Scott is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Elliott.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife Karen of Pella; his two sons: Tyler, a freshman student at the University of Northern Iowa, and Corey, a freshmen at Pella Community High School; his father, Edward Elliott of Bean Station, Tennessee; six siblings: Robin Buckley of Conyers, Georgia, Butch Elliott of Loyall, Kentucky, David (Vanda) Elliott of Mayfield, Kentucky; Debbie (Rick) Reynolds of Union, Kentucky, Don (Gail) Elliott of Lynch, Kentucky, Ken Elliott of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. Scott will be missed by his family, his many friends, and his lovable cats, Tiger and Zinger.
