Obituary

Susan Marie Glessner was born on December 28, 1959, in Davenport, Iowa, to John W. and Janet M. Anderson Glessner, Sr. She passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House at the age of fifty.

Prior to her moving to Pella in 1996, she received her early education at River Hills School in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Johnny Appleseed School in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Most recently she was a resident at the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella where she was a contract laborer in the COC workshop.

Susan was a member of the Faith Christian Reformed Church in Pella, where she was active in a Bible Study group. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, music, rhyming, and her vast collection of stuffed animals. Her favorite color was blue and her favorite places were Lake Rathbun and the Special Touch Camp in Ogden, Iowa.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, John Sr. and Janet Glessner of Mesa, Arizona; her brother, John Glessner Jr. of Scottsdale, Arizona; her twin sister, Sandra L. Summers of Centerville, Iowa; and many extended family members.

Susan loved the Lord and her family. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

Susan's family would like to sincerely thank extended family, friends, the Christian Opportunity Center, church members, and the Hospice of Pella Comfort House for their support and patient care.
