Twila Mae Terpstra was born on November 30, 1947, to William and Gertrude De Kock in Pella, Iowa. She passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House at the age of sixty-five.

She graduated from Pella Christian High School and attended Calvin College. On October 6, 1966, she was united in marriage with Logan Terpstra in Pella, Iowa. They were blessed with two children: Wynette and Devin.

Twila was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sully, Iowa. She also had been a member of the Sully Garden Club. For seventeen years she was employed as a cook at the Lynnville-Sully School, retiring in 2012. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and making craft items.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Logan of Sully, Iowa; her two children: Wynette of Nikko, Japan, and Devin of Omaha, Nebraska; three sisters: Lavonne De Ruiter of Pella, Iowa, Lois De Jong of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Darlene Meier of Hazleton, Iowa; and her mother-in-law, Corrie Terpstra of Oskaloosa, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gertrude De Kock, and her father-in-law, Cornie Terpstra; brothers-in-law: Loren Terpstra, Bob De Ruiter, and Harris Lee Terpstra.
