Ward Eugene Van Wyk was born January 10, 1964, to Walter and Harriet (Olsthoorn) Van Wyk.

He grew up in the Sully/Pella area and was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church in Pella. Ward attended Sully Christian School and graduated from Pella Christian High School.

On April 28, 1989, he was united in marriage to Kamey Burns. To this union they were blessed with a daughter Wendy.

Ward worked for Vermeer Manufacturing for over ten years and for 3M for more than 20 years. Ward was a devoted employee and a family man. He enjoyed going on adventures to new places, and tinkering and building things.

Ward is survived by his daughter Wendy (Kenny) Strand of Pella, his grandchildren: Ayden, Ayron and Lillian; and his siblings: Marty (Julie) Van Wyk of Pella, Cindy (Mike) Breuklander of Sully, and Angie (Mike) Widmar of Manchester.

Ward was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Harriett Van Wyk, and a granddaughter Adalynn Strand.
