Obituary

Wilma Reva Bensink was born April 24, 1930, to John and Cora (Fortuin) De Kruyff, on the family farm northeast of Sully.  She grew up on a farm and attended Battle Ridge country school, Lynnville School, and graduated from New Sharon High School.

On June 8, 1949, she was united in marriage with Gradus Bensink in Sully, Iowa.  They were blessed with two children: David and Scott.

Gradus and Wilma farmed until 1960 when they moved to Otley.  Wilma worked for the Pella Sale Barn and for Edgar and Bruce Roorda. Wilma was a faithful member of the Otley Reformed Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons and their wives, four granddaughters, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Gradus, her parents John and Cora De Kruyff, parents-in-law: Arie and Gertie Bensink; her sister Ada De Kruyff; and her sisters-in-law and their husbands Agnes and Martin Slykhuis and Wilma and William Verwers.
