Obituary

Bonnie Marie Rouw was born March 29, 1936, to Richard H. and Thelma (Alley) Smith, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Thelma passed away when Bonnie was only four months old. Richard then married Martha Ada, and together they raised their family.  Bonnie passed away on June 10, 2020, at the Comfort House in Pella.

On March 23, 1956 she was united in marriage to Marv Rouw in the Congregational Church of Oskaloosa. To this union they were blessed with four children: Linda, Beverly, Alan and Steve.

Bonnie enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family. Above all, Bonnie loved the Lord.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Marv of 64 years, and their family:

She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Thelma Smith, her mother Martha Ada (Vande Voort) Smith, her parents-in-law Bill and Evelyn Rouw, her great grandson Logan Ayers, her brothers-in-law: Albert Rouw and Kenny Rouw, and her siblings: Marion and Bob Vander Heiden, Shirley Thatcher, and Beverly Gingery.
