Brian Jakubiak Obituary

Brian Lee Jakubiak was born July 10, 1972, to Daniel and Charlotte (Jenkins) Jakubiak, in Baltimore, Maryland. He passed away on May 3, 2019, in Pella, Iowa, after battling cancer for six years.

Brian was a 1990 graduate of North Harford High School and Towson State University with geology major.  He was united in marriage to Michelle Martin and was blessed with two children: Mason and Helana “Lani”.

Brian was a senior environmental consultant with Environmental Management Group where he managed worksites around the country.  In 2013, he moved to Pella.

Brian was a man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened. He loved sports, whether it was coaching teams, playing in a softball league or watching the Baltimore Orioles or the Ravens.

Brian was a builder of homes and people. He loved mission trips to Baja, Mexico where he transformed the culture of the trip.  He was a child of God and shared his faith often through his writing. Words he lived by were: builder, believe and hope.  He was loving, caring and a great Dad!

Those left to cherish his memory are his two children: Mason and Lani Jakubiak, his mother Charlotte; his sister Michelle Jakubiak, and his brothers: Christopher and Beth Jakubiak and Michael and Sheila Jakubiak.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and a host of great friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Jakubiak.
