Cornelia (Rolffs) Vos was born on May 10, 1931, south of Sully, Iowa, to Dick and Minnie Rolffs.
Cornelia attended several country schools, and graduated from Sully Christian School. She attended high school three years, was baptized and made profession of faith in Sully Christian Reformed Church, and met Wilbur Vos at Sunday night Bible Study.
Cornelia was a housewife and mother, worked 17 years as an aide at Grinnell Hospital, and later at Sully Grocery Store. Cornelia and Wilbur were married on August 26, 1952, in Taintor, Iowa. To this union five children were born, 14 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren with another great grandchild due in November.
Cornelia and Wilbur enjoyed going on vacations, and attending grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events. They adored them all! For 25 years, they enjoyed going south for the winter months. They also enjoyed camping and biking. Cornelia loved babysitting her grandchildren. She also loved to sew baby blankets, and crochet afghans for all the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cornelia is survived by her husband Wilbur, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sisters Janet (Guy) Jansen, Dorothy (Marion) Vos, and Mildred Lanser; and her brothers: John Rolffs and Marvin Rolffs. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Hermina Rolffs, Mavis Vos, Erma and Elva Vos.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dick and Minnie Rolffs, her parents-in-law Cornie and Henrietta Vos, her grandson Shane Johnson, her brother Henry Rolffs, a brother in infancy, and her brothers-in-law: Louis Lanser, Melvin Vos, and Ivan Vos.
