Donald Jack Obituary

Donald Eugene Jack was born February 18, 1928 to William and Hazel (Icenbice) Jack in Deep River, Iowa. We all appreciated his Irish humor! He was a giver and had a nice, calm spirit. When Don was age 14 he professed in a mission by Jelto Rewerts and Tom Patterson in Ladora, Iowa.

On September 26, 1949 Don was united in marriage to Letty Klenk. To this union they were blessed with two daughters: Linda (John) and Jane (Jim). Don and Letty enjoyed summer vacations, taking each of their grandkids to Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park. The grandkids all consider these memories as highlights of their childhoods.

Don was a farmer and had a field tiling business. His expertise in livestock would routinely manifest itself in providing market-topping feeder pigs. He was proudly one of the first to use laser to complete field tile work. He did this until his retirement in 1991. Don was a great carpenter - his daughters and grandkids still benefit from his craftsmanship. His handiness wasn’t limited to woodworking: he converted a WC Allis tractor to an end-loader in his shop, which was meticulously kept. Everything had its place.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 70 years and their family:
