Henry Langstraat, Jr.

Henry Langstraat Jr. was born August 15, 1938, to  Henry and Nellie (Kelderman) Langstraat in Mahaska County, Iowa.

Junior grew up on the family farm near Oskaloosa, and graduated Oskaloosa High School in 1957.

Junior met Cynthia Vander Schaaf around the square in Osky on a Sunday night.  The two were married  November 11, 1960, at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church. God blessed them with four children: Lois Jeanne, Luane Joy, Lisa Marie and Jason Todd.

Junior was a building contractor for over 40 years but he was a cowboy at heart. He grew up on a horse and spent many hours on horse-back checking cows and riding pastures. He loved his family and the great outdoors. God blessed him with a big heart and a wonderful smile. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia, his parents Henry and Nellie Langstraat, his parents-in-law Floris and Marie Vander Schaaf, and his sisters.
