Isabelle Hall, 24, from Pella, Iowa, passed away peacefully on April 30th, 2022 surrounded by her family and fiancé at the Mayo Clinic. Isabelle fought a courageous battle against complications related to her bone marrow transplant in 2017.
Isabelle was born on November 4, 1997 in Ames, Iowa to Tim Hall and Christine Headington-Hall, joining older sister Lydia. She grew up in Pella, Iowa and attended Pella Community High School, graduating in 2016. She found her happiness at the University of Missouri in Columbia and was an accepted student into the master’s degree dietetics program and a member of Gamma Phi sorority.
She is survived by her parents, Tim Hall and Christine Headington Hall, Pella, IA; her sister Lydia Hall, Washington D.C. and Pella, IA; her fiancé Riley Stursma, Pella, IA; her grandparents Rex and Diane Hall of Birmingham, IA; her grandparents Dale and Sandy Headington of Decorah, IA; and her aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her uncle Brett Hall.
It is her doctor’s belief, and we agree, that she was a born angel destined to teach others to define their quality of life with clarity and purpose – and uncompromisingly live by it.
A memorial fund has been established to give honor to Isabelle’s legacy. Checks can be made payable to the Isabelle Hall Memorial Fund or sent through Venmo to the Isabelle Hall Memorial Fund at @IsabelleHallMemorialFund. Funds will go towards Isabelle’s passions such as the Iowa State Fair or Bennet Springs State Park and to organizations on behalf of Isabelle such as Be The Match or Mayo Clinic.
