Kari Lynn Roozeboom was born February 24, 1973. She grew up in Pella and was a 1991 graduate of Pella High School.
On July 11, 1992, she was united in marriage to Jim Roozeboom at the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella. They were blessed with two sons: Drew and Logan. Kari worked for the Pella Schools as a kitchen manager at Madison Elementary. She also worked for the flower shops, Pella Regional Health Center, and cut lace for Heritage Lace. Kari enjoyed many hobbies and crafts; some of those were: knitting, crocheting hats for babies at the hospital, cross-stitch, painting, and drawing. In her spare time, she was also an avid reader. She delighted in decorating for any and every holiday. Kari especially loved family time and attending kids’ sporting events.
Kari attended First Church, taught Calvinettes, and was a Vacation Bible School leader – she knew every child!
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Jim, sons: Drew (Emily) Roozeboom, and Logan Roozeboom, parents: Evelyn and Milton Vos of Peoria, Dennis and Tena Roozeboom of Pella, brother Keith (Judi) Hutchins of California; Jim’s siblings: John (Julie) Roozeboom of Kellogg, Deb (Jeff) Van Wyk of Sully, and Tom (Elyssia) Roozeboom of Cedar Lake, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
Kari is preceded in death by her grandparents Earl and Helen Sypherd and Jim's grandparents John and Dora De Haan and Henry and Johanna Roozeboom.
