Linda Slykhuis

Linda Mae Slykhuis born March 12, 1951, to Elmer and Gertrude (Dykens) Slykhuis, in New Sharon, Iowa, and attended North Mahaska schools.

Linda retired from Pella Corp after working there for more than 20 years, and then worked for Walmart in Altoona for more than ten years. Linda enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood on the farm, and joy-rides all over the country-side. Some of her favorite hobbies were cooking, crafts, and visiting her friends. Linda wanted to be a missionary, so giving to those in need, and helping others became her mission and gave her great joy. Linda loved all her family and had a special bond with her granddaughter Grace.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Laura and Steve Jones, her step-daughter Brenda and Todd Howard, her grandchildren: Kayla, Jonah, and Grace; five great grandchildren, her dear brother Clarence Slykhuis, and her many loved niece and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
