Linda Vander Horst

Linda Joyce Vander Horst was born March 24, 1948, to John and Roena Margaret (Elwood) Breuklander, in Iowa City, Iowa.

Linda grew up in Pella and attended Lincoln Elementary School, Webster Junior High, and Pella Community High School.

On December 14, 1963, Linda was united in marriage to Willis “Willy” Vander Horst in Rock Island, Illinois. To this union they were blessed with three sons: Rick, Dave and Dennis. Linda worked for Central College for 26 years and also co-owned and operated Willy’s Auto.  She loved her family, flowers, pets, Christian music, and the Iowa Hawkeyes!

Linda is also survived by her siblings: Jim Breuklander, Bill Breuklander, Mary Breuklander Battistello, and Larry Breuklander.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Breuklander, her parents-in-law Henry and Dorothy Vander Horst, her siblings: Thomas and Mary Ellen Breuklander died in infancy, John “Popcase” Breuklander, and Carol Breuklander Visser, and her daughter-in-law Karen Vander Horst.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to KCWN or Hospice of Pella.
