Logan Dwain Terpstra was born January 19, 1946, to Cornie and Corrie (Vonk) Terpstra, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He passed away Thursday, March 5, at the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella at the age of 74.
Logan grew up in the Sully area and was a graduate of Lynnville-Sully High School. On October 6, 1966, he was united in marriage to Twila De Kock in Pella, Iowa. They were blessed with two children: Wynette and Devin.
Though a farmer his entire life, he also worked at Vermeer and enjoyed a long career as a Dekalb salesman. Logan enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1971. He enjoyed good talks and coffee with neighbors and friends, had a love of cars and westerns, and always had a joke ready when needed.
Logan was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sully, Iowa.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two children: Wynette Terpstra of Maebashi, Japan, and Devin Terpstra of Omaha, Nebraska; and many family, friends, and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his wife Twila, his parents Cornie and Corrie Terpstra, his parents-in-law William and Gertrude De Kock; his three brothers: Loren Terpstra, Harris Terpstra, and Stephen Terpstra; and brother-in-law Bob De Ruiter.
