Mary Sneller

Mary Jane Sneller was born February 2, 1940, to Francis D. and Frances H. (Ver Steeg) Poortinga, in Otley, Iowa.  

Mary attended Bunker Hill School and was a 1958 graduate of Pella High School. On June 10, 1958, Mary was united in marriage to Kenneth Wayne Sneller in Otley, Iowa. They were blessed with three children: Kathleen Sue, Glenda Mae and Daniel Wayne. Throughout her life, Mary worked at the OverAll Factory, on the farm beside Kenny, as a janitor and cook at Twin Cedars School. Mary loved to cook, no one ever went away hungry. Mary enjoyed and cherished her grandkids and great grandkids.

She was a member of Heartland Reformed Church in Pella.

Mary is also survived by her sisters Dorothy Neels, Linda Bandstra and Sandy (Don) Den Hartog and sister-in-law Bonnie (Don) Vos.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Sneller, her parents Francis and Frances Poortinga, her parents-in-law Gerrit and Annabell Sneller, and her brothers-in-law Larry Bandstra and Willis Neals.
