Paul Raymond Davids was born October 26, 1950, to Raymond and Arline (Gilcrist) Davids, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Paul was a 1970 graduate of Price Laboratory School. He went on to Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa, where he graduated in 1975, majoring in industrial arts and minoring in music.

On June 30, 1979, he was united in marriage to Linda Wagenblast, in Holton, Kansas.  To this union they were blessed with four children: Michelle, Melinda, Monica and Matthew.

Paul worked for Central College food service and Pella Regional food service before retiring in 2014. He enjoyed good coffee, watching the Hawkeyes and singing with his kids and grandkids. He was very musically gifted both on his guitar and his vocals. For 39 years Paul was the cook for the Summer Assembly Church Camp.  He had a kind, generous spirit, with a deep faith. Paul was a charter member of United Methodist Church in Pella. He battled cancer and fought hard until the end.
