Sydnie Van De Kieft
Obituary
Sydnie D. Van De Kieft was born June 3, 2013, to Devon and Kim (Sparks) Van De Kieft, in Iowa City, Iowa. She had a heart transplant at the age of 4 months, from her heart donor Maliyah. Sydnie passed away on April 1, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospital due to complications with her heart.
Sydnie lived on an acreage in New Sharon and enjoyed her many pets, friends, and social media! Dancing and singing, horse riding, and painting were some big favorites. She was a member of Christ the Redeemer Church.
Sydnie goes to Christ before us and leaves behind the following loved ones: her father and mother Devon and Kim Van De Kieft; her brothers: Klaeton and his wife Holly (Walker) Van De Kieft, and William Van De Kieft; sisters: Paige and her husband Josiah Jack, and Isabella Van De Kieft; grandparents: John and Anne Van De Kieft, and Eve Sparks, and great grandmother Margaret Van De Kieft.
She is also survived by uncles and aunts: Alan and Marci Rouw, Jon and Verla Neifert, Sid and Stephany Samuels, Eric and Kristina Samuels, Jason and Jenny Samuels, Jenny Van Wyk, Jodi Hartman, and Anna Sparks; nieces and nephew Henri Jack, Rosemary Jack and Ivy Jean Van De Kieft.
Sydnie brought an abundance of joy and turbulence to all who knew her! She is loved by many and will never be forgotten by her loved ones.
